On the day that Andy Murray won the Men’s Singles Final at Wimbledon and Lewis Hamilton was on pole position at The F1 German Grand Prix, a bunch of horse driving enthusiasts met up in the glorious setting that is The Enville Estate.
A hard-working team had enjoyed setting up the dressage, cones course, 5 kilometre drive and obstacles over 2 preceding days.
Thanks to the depth of knowledge and network on offer to Wolverley Members, this idyllic venue was available for the weekend.
Enville – a working estate that is
still a family home
Enville Hall, the ancestral home of the Earls of Stamford and Warrington, lies at the heart the estate, which extends to some 6,500 acres of spectacular countryside surrounding the pretty village of Enville itself and close to the town of Stourbridge.
Enville lies about 7 miles south east of Bridgnorth on the Staffordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire borders. It is situated amongst the rolling hills and valleys which lie between the Rivers Severn and Stour, with the land rising to over 600 feet on top of the Sheep Walk. From here one can see the Black Mountains in Wales, The Wrekin, the Malvern Hills and many other ranges.
