“A really good Spring Camp for Wolverley & District Driving Club. A wide variety of turnout, levels of whips and horses/ponies and every year we try to reflect any lessons learned and incorporate into the programme. This year we had 3 instead of 2 days which seemed to work well, we incorporated the BDS Road Driving Assessment and finished the camp with fun cones including grooms cones course. A very BIG thank you to those who worked behind the scenes for months to determine the best programme – Linda Sprosen and Sandra Phillips; our coaches Andrew Williams, Tony and Gill Bache; our stewards for the BDS road assessment (Sandra Philips and Clare Caldicott) and of course Sarah Wildly our examiner. A key priority is our equipment and thank you to the Pooles and Caldicotts for their time and effort to bring the club trailers over and return them. We also incorporated our Farrier Talk which was very interesting and we all had a very good look in daylight at our own horse/pony’s feet!!!!. Once again we had fantastic facilities at Lincomb Farm Equestrian Centre who always make us feel very welcome. Unless I hear to the contrary we will be booking next year’s dates (3 days if we can) and I will also be seeking additional helpers as I think our existing ones need a bit of a rest!!!!! Well done to all participants I think without exception all left having faced some challenges, learnt loads and with something to work on. I am looking forward to going back to work!!!!!
Great long weekend thank you all.”
