Newsbrief July 2020

Chairman’s Report

Firstly, I would like to say thank you for the brilliant response back from our questionnaire. The outcome is that everyone wants to get going with drives, competitions and training.

Offers of help and assistance at events have also come in which is fantastic. We could always still utilise more helpers if anyone is available.

To get us going David Smith has kindly arranged to put on a drive again around Elmbridge on Sunday  9th August. (See Events Page).

Enville Hall are happy for us to run our one day event on Sunday 23rd August as per our original schedule. (See Events Page).

The Flyford Flavell drive on the 20th September is also good to go so thank you Jeanie.

Now for the serious stuff, we will be following guidelines set out from British Carriage Driving with regards to lorry parking etc. We will be supplying hand sanitizer at events for everyone to use.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to supply liquids and refreshments so please bring your own food and drinks for the day.

Please abide by social distancing rules that are in place at the time of each event and as much as possible stay in your area around your lorry/trailer when not competing or driving your horse.  Please make sure you bring or arrange your own groom as at this moment in time we cannot borrow a groom due to distancing.

Hopefully we will be able to finish the events originally scheduled for the rest of the season.

See you all soon,

Darren
