14 Turnouts took advantage of the generosity of the Williams family who invited the club to hold a one day event on their country estate.
The competition format required less setting up than a conventional driving trial and had the advantage of being in one field with everything visible from the lorry park.
Thanks to Chris Burton who not only helped judge the obstacle phase but who also took the photos in this gallery. Linda Sprosen and Vicky Poole, peering through a windscreen soaked by constant drizzle, made their debut scoring the dressage. As well as the rain hazard, some of the ponies’ legs were invisible in the long grass! Sue Anderson assisted by Peter had their work cut out timing competitors through the cones and resetting those that were ‘interfered with’.
